A healthy body that is given all vital substances in sufficient quantities and in a well-balanced relation will always be able to maintain a necessary balance. The human body is without doubt a product from Mother Nature. Mother Nature has ensured that the human body can be supplied with genuine natural food containing all such substances that the body needs to maintain such healthy balance.
The Research for Health Foundation has no commercial goals at all. We are a non-profit organisation and it is our single goal to put naturopathy into that place within society that it deserves in accordance with our beliefs. But we need the help of many.
Naturopathy is one field of medical science and a forerunner of modern medical science. It describes natural forms of treatment that were mainly handed down to us and known long before medical science that focused on "natural"-science became predominant.
Treatment with substances of natural origin comes to the fore. Such substances are vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and medical plants. Physical exercise also plays an important role as well as dietetic measures and those which improve the way of life.
In the broadest sense we include acupuncture and homoeopathy - apart from a number of other holistic courses of treatment - into naturopathy. We also consider modern orthomolecular medicine among naturopathy because it works only on the basis of natural active ingredients which are obtained either from nutrition or are known to be found in the body as natural substances.
It neither is "primitive" nor has it outdated itself, and even modern society is part of nature. It was back in the Stone Age when man discovered the healing benefit of various herbs. The ancient Creek saw the first practicing and teaching physicians who got down into history books; long before that time there were shamans and druids.
In the Middle Ages naturopathy was cultivated in monasteries on the one hand, however, on the other hand those women who had good knowledge of herbs were haunted, accused of witchery and in most cases burnt to death. We certainly labour under a misapprehension when we believe that witch haunt was only a "misdirected" religious persecution. Naturopathy has been having powerful opponents for a long time.
A great deal of documents were found and decoded. Such knowledge is being edited and used everywhere every day. Nowadays naturopaths are no more treated as witches and burnt to death, however, their knowledge is still not tolerated yet. Repeal of inquisition did not mark the end of those many attempts to erase naturopathy from man's mind. Today laws exist to ban and punish cultivation and distribution of naturopathic products. Moreover, today naturopathy is said to be "unscientific" and hence dangerous for man.
The human body consists of a lot of different substances. In a healthy body all such substances have a well-balanced interrelation between each other. The body is equipped with all protective mechanisms that can restore such balance even under extra stress conditions caused by circumstances in life, pathogens, environmental pollution or parasites.
